Buffalo Soldiers of Seattle Summer Day Camp-aigns

The Buffalo Soldier of Seattle Day and overnight Camps can be tailored to specific age groups and demographics.

Our camps aim to allow participants to experience the Learning of equine sports/ therapy and the opportunities they can lead to (schooling, scholarships, lifestyle, and professions). The learning of one’s history (you can’t know where you're going unless you know where you've come from) and life/outdoor skills. This allows one to expand their horizons, gain confidence, and build character and self-worth. All while experiencing the joys of the outdoors, community, horses, and history.

We will always overcome challenges as individuals and as a team.

When the going gets tough, we always remember the Buffalo Soldiers' mottos, which is, “We can, We will,”  “Ready and Forward!”

Our camps offer a gateway for participants to immerse themselves in the world of equine sports and therapy. These experiences open doors to various opportunities, including education, scholarships, lifestyle enhancements, and professional pathways.

Understanding our personal history—the roots from which we spring—is akin to plotting our course on a map. Without this knowledge, navigating life’s journey becomes uncertain. By delving into our past, we gain perspective, expand our horizons, and build self-worth.

As campers explore the great outdoors, engage with their community, and connect with horses, they not only learn practical outdoor skills but also discover the richness of history. These experiences foster confidence, character, and resilience.

Together, as individuals and as a team, we embrace challenges and overcome them, forging bonds that strengthen our resolve.
