Our goal is to empower men, women, and children with knowledgeable education of our past, to make our present substantial, and better determine our future. As a nonprofit, The Buffalo Soldiers of Seattle make many community appearances in Washington, and throughout the nation, proudly representing the forgotten heroes of the American West
Our goal is to empower men, women, and children with knowledgeable education of our past, to make our present substantial, and better determine our future. As a nonprofit, The Buffalo Soldiers of Seattle make many community appearances in Washington, and throughout the nation, proudly representing the forgotten heroes of the American West. We ignite the human spirit through horsemanship, historical preservation, and outdoor activities, including youth cadet programs, and summer camps, while focusing on educating the community. Moreover, we are also advocates for mental health awareness.

Our History
The Buffalo Soldiers of Seattle (BSoS), a 501(c3) nonprofit, has served the Puget Sound and Greater Seattle-Tacoma community for over 20 years. Our focus is on high quality programs benefitting the Pacific Northwest by hosting camps, bi-weekly cadet educational forums, appearances at schools, museums, parades, and festivals nationwide throughout the year.

We are active in our support of historical societies, military affairs, National and local groups. We accomplish this with summer camps, bi-weekly forums, and cadet program aimed at urban youth as well as parents, that provides a chance to experience the great outdoors.
